Growing Apart

1st
¤ I remember how much I liked you when I was a little kid.
¤ And all of the childish things that I said and did.
¤ But little did I know that you liked me to.
¤ You kept it a secret though so there was nothing I could do.
¤ Dormant lay the love we could share.
¤ But as long as are friendship was there I didn't care.
2nd
¤ Playing basketball till dark.
¤ Deep conversations on the long walks home from the park.
¤ I can't leave you alone.
¤ Im beginning to hate the friend zone.
¤ But idk what to do.
¤ I know were just kids but I'm stuck on you.
3rd
¤ As time goes by we start to get a little bit older.
¤ And my maturity has grown so now I'm a little bit bolder.
¤ But you moved to hall crossing so I'm seeing less of you.
¤ Its okay though because you know that we'll always be mad cool.
¤ Plus we know we'll get to see each other more in high school
¤ Problem is other girls are steady approaching
¤ But I didnt know on our future one was encroaching
¤ She opened up her gate and I walked right in
¤ Unaware that I would never be the same again
4th
¤ Tenth grade summer is the time i'll never forget
¤ Late night convos talking about how we feel and shit
¤ Little did I know while I was catching up with an old friend you would fall in love
¤ What I couldnt see you saw beyond and above
¤ Constant confusion would be then end of it though
¤ Because your going to college and apart is where we will grow
